Kartepe Ski Resort
A ski resort on the Samanlı Mountains in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli. Its summit is 1,640 m high, and its closeness to Istanbul makes it a popular choice for winter tourism.
Maşukiye
A settlement in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli, on the slopes of Kartepe near Lake Sapanca. It is known for the small waterfalls formed by the Yayla Stream, its wooded walking areas and its trout restaurants.
Lake Sapanca
